John Herdman Monitors Pegadaian Championship, Present Directly at Garudayaksa FC vs Persekat Tegal Match

Viralterkini.idBogor – Indonesian National Team coach, John Herdman, continues to monitor players who are active in domestic competitions. Not only focusing on the highest caste, Herdman also actively monitors matches at various levels of the Indonesian league.

Previously, the British coach was seen several times attending live BRI Super League matches for the 2025/2026 season. He even had time to attend Persija Jakarta’s training session and interact with the players and coaching staff of the team nicknamed the Kemayoran Tigers.

However, Herdman’s attention is not only focused on the highest caste competition. The Pegadaian Championship event is also on his monitoring radar.

Most recently, Herdman was seen attending Pakansari Stadium, Saturday (14/2/2026), to watch the match between Garudayaksa FC and Persekat Tegal.

Herdman emphasized the importance of understanding the competition structure as a whole, including the divisions below the Super League. According to him, many potential young talents have emerged from this level.

“It’s important to understand what’s at the bottom of the first division here. It’s important to know which young players are emerging. At this level you can see a lot of much younger players, players who are struggling to push themselves to the next level,” said Herdman.

He believes that in the first 10 years of his career as a coach, understanding the entire competition structure is crucial.

“I think in the first 10 years of your career it’s important to see everything. Every level of the competition and to understand what the structure is like, what the facilities are like, what the intensity is like. So, it’s a good experience,” he added.

Herdman also expressed his appreciation to the hosts for the opportunity to watch the match live.

“A big thank you to Garudayaksa for inviting us here to watch the match, and I enjoyed it,” he concluded.
