Viralterkini.idJAKARTA – Adidaya Institute urges the Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Nanik S Deyang to work hard to immediately improve the governance of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program. Director of Politics and Democracy at the Adidaya Institute, Ahmad Fadhli, even gave Nanik Deyang an ultimatum to resign from his position if he is unable to improve MBG’s governance in the near future.
“Head of BGN Nanik S Deyang must be able to unravel MBG’s main governance problems (according to the results of the Adidaya Institute survey which concluded that MBG’s governance was 24.9 percent as the main problem). If this main problem cannot be resolved then it is best to resign as head of BGN or be immediately reshuffled by President Prabowo,” said Fadhli in a statement to media crew, Tuesday (21/7) afternoon.
Fadhli also emphasized that the MBG program must continue even though it has been plagued by many corruption cases. The reason is, according to Fadhli, this program is indeed the Prabowo government program that has had the most direct impact on Indonesian society.
“If you refer to the results of the Adidaya Institute survey, MBG is the most popular program that is known to the public, with a figure of 98.3 percent. Likewise, in that survey, the MBG program is also considered to have the most direct impact on Indonesian families, with a figure of around 67.6 percent,” he explained.
“MBG must not be stopped just because of corruption committed by ‘unscrupulous’ BGN officials. “If there are rats in the rice barn, then the rats are caught, not the rice barn that is burned,” he continued.
Fadhli sees that there are still many human resources (HR) in President Prabowo’s circle who have integrity and adequate capacity. So, therefore, President Prabowo does not need to hesitate to replace Nanik Deyang if he is unable to carry out this mandate.
“There are still many human resources in President Prabowo’s circle who have the capacity and integrity to lead and solve problems at BGN,” he said.
Previously, on Monday (20/7), President Prabowo mentioned the actions of a number of parties who still criticized the MBG program and called it a form of waste. According to the President, their actions were baseless, not nationalistic and not pro-poor.
“I was attacked because I wanted to provide nutritious food for Indonesian children, pregnant women and the elderly. But thousands of trillions evaporate from Indonesia every year, no experts protested. There was no investigation,” he concluded. (ma)
