Seriously Violating Ethics, 34 Central Sulawesi Regional Police Members Fired from the National Police

Viralterkini.id – The Central Sulawesi Regional Police (Polda Sulteng) imposed strict sanctions on 34 of its members in the form of Dishonorable Dismissal (PTDH). This decision was taken after the personnel were declared to have seriously violated the National Police’s professional code of ethics.

Head of the Public Relations Division of the Central Sulawesi Regional Police, Police Commissioner Djoko Wienartono, said that the sanction of dismissal was given because the members were deemed to no longer meet the training standards as law enforcement officers.

“This decision was taken because the person concerned could no longer be retained in the institution through a coaching mechanism,” said Djoko in his official statement, Sunday (1/2/2026).

He explained that the violations committed by these personnel were in the serious category and had an impact on the public’s image and trust in the police institution.

“Their actions are contrary to the principles of Tribrata and Catur Prasetya which are the moral foundation and professional ethics of every member of the National Police,” he said.

Djoko emphasized that this firm step was part of the commitment of the National Police leadership to maintain the dignity of the institution and ensure that the professionalism of the officers was maintained.

“Any form of serious violation will not be tolerated because it can damage public trust in the Police,” he said.

According to Djoko, this internal action is also part of efforts to reform the bureaucracy within the National Police in order to build an institution that is professional, modern and trusted by the public.

In addition, the Central Sulawesi Regional Police reminded all personnel to always carry out their duties with full responsibility, uphold professional ethics, and comply with applicable laws and regulations.

“All members are expected to maintain integrity and discipline in carrying out their duties as protectors and servants of the community,” concluded Djoko.
