Ahead of the 2026 AFC Futsal Asian Cup Quarter-Finals, LOC Invites Supporters to “Reduce” Indonesia Arena

Viralterkini.idJAKARTA – The 2026 AFC Futsal Asian Cup continues to show a positive trend in line with the high level of public interest in watching the match live.

Ahead of the quarter-finals, the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) invited supporters to return to “redden” the Indonesia Arena, Jakarta, as well as provide education regarding the implementation of security standards set by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

As part of the AFC’s high security standards, the LOC applies a “killing seat” rule of 20 percent of the total stadium capacity. This policy has the effect of reducing the number of seats that spectators can occupy during the match.

​The function of these buffer zones includes three main aspects:

• ​Supporting Security (Security Support): Provides a safe distance between sectors to prevent incidents.
• ​Crowd Management: Ensures smooth flow of spectators in and out and prevents crowds from building up.
• ​Technical Management: Area for broadcast cameras, operational equipment, and quick access for medical and security teams.

Chairman of the LOC AFC Futsal Asian Cup 2026, Farazandi Fidinansyah, emphasized that killing seats are not just empty seats, but function as buffer zones which have an important role in maintaining security and comfort in the venue.

“This area is very vital to support the security system. By complying with these rules, we ensure that around 10 thousand supporters who attend can enjoy the match with maximum security and comfort guaranteed,” said Farazandi.

However, LOC still invites national futsal supporters to fulfill the available seat quota. It is hoped that the presence and direct support from the stands will be able to create a festive atmosphere while making the Indonesia Arena a fortress that makes things difficult for opponents in the crucial matches of the quarter-finals.

“Supporters’ support means a lot to the team. Let’s together brighten up the Indonesia Arena and show the spirit of Indonesian futsal on the Asian stage,” concluded Farazandi. (ary)
