Harlem Globetrotters Performance in Jakarta Becomes Indonesian Basketball Lovers Magnet – Indonesia’s Latest Viral

Viralterkini.id, Jakarta – The Entertainment Basketball Team from the United States, Harlem Globetrotters, is back in Indonesia and successfully captivates thousands of spectators with spectacular attractions at the Senayan Basketball Hall, Jakarta, Wednesday (8/20/2025) night WIB.

The show became part of the series of Asia Harlem Globetrotters 2025 which was held in six countries, including Indonesia.

The presence of the legendary team which is synonymous with the style of playing full trick and humor received a lively welcome from basketball lovers in the country.

Around 1,500 spectators filled the arena of the match, including a number of sports figures such as the President Director of the Indonesian Basketball League (IBL) Junas Miradiarsyah, former national player Kelly Purwanto, to the Director of Inaspro LPDuk Kemenpora Ferry Kono.

In appearance in Jakarta, Harlem Globetrotters returned to face their eternal rival, Washington Generals.

Harlem failed to take advantage of a golden opportunity, giving Generals the opportunity to steal victory.

However, a crucial block of Harlem players thwarted the opponent’s attack. Shortly thereafter, Moose Weekes ended the match with a loud dunk that made the audience cheered. Harlem closed the match with a 5-4 win.

“We are happy to be able to play in Indonesia again. The audience’s energy is extraordinary. From adults to children, everything is so enthusiastic,” Moose said after the match.

The show in Jakarta is part of the series of Asia Harlem Globetrotters 2025. The tour took place from August 9 to August 31, 2025, with a total of more than 13 performances in six countries, including Japan, South Korea, Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Indonesia became a country that was honored to be visited by two years in a row by Harlem.
