Viralterkini.id, WEDA — A number of political party leaders in Central Halmahera Regency, North Maluku, have agreed to propose increasing the number of seats for members of the Central Halmahera Regency DPRD from 20 seats to 25 seats in the 2031 General Election. This proposal is based on projected population growth and a significant increase in the number of voters in the region. This agreement was reached at a cross-political party coordination meeting which took place in Weda, Central Halmahera, Tuesday (16/6/2026).

The meeting presented representatives from various parties, including the NasDem Party, Gerindra Party, PDI Perjuangan, Golkar Party, Perindo Party, PKB, Hanura Party, and PBB.
Deputy Chair of the Central Halmahera DPRD from the NasDem faction, Munadi Kilkoda, who chaired the meeting, emphasized that this step was a strategic effort to ensure more proportional political representation.
“We need to build cross-party understanding so that the aspiration to add seats has a strong argumentative basis and can be monitored together,” he said.
In line with this, Deputy Regent of Central Halmahera Ahlan Djumadil, who was present as Chair of the Gerindra Party DPC, emphasized that increasing the legislative quota was a crucial agenda for the region’s future.
According to him, the dynamics of Central Halmahera as a region that continues to develop requires adjustments to the number of people’s representatives.
Data-Driven Urgency
Chairman of the Central Halmahera PDI Perjuangan DPC, Asrul Alting, assessed that the increase to 25 seats was very relevant to current demographic facts. However, he emphasized that the success of this proposal depends on the solidity of political parties in overseeing the process.
On the other hand, the Golkar Party representative, Rohadi Do Iskandar, highlighted the need for intensive coordination with the General Election Commission (KPU). He even suggested that this struggle should not only be limited to the district scale.
“We must also encourage an increase in seat allocation for the North Maluku Province DPRD specifically for Electoral Region III which includes Central Halmahera, East Halmahera and Tidore Islands City. Considering the number of voters continues to increase, ideally the provincial seat allocation will increase from eight to 10 or 11 seats,” said Rohadi.
Validity Challenges
Despite receiving widespread support, issues related to the validity of population data are a serious concern. Hanura Party representative, Julkifli Alting, reminded that regional governments and political parties must carefully monitor changes in population numbers.
He touched on employment dynamics in large companies in the region which directly influence the voter database.
“Population data is the main instrument. We must be able to anticipate various factors, including population movements due to dynamics in the industrial sector, so that the calculation of legislative seat allocations will remain accurate and objective,” said Julkifli.
As a concrete step, party leaders are committed to involving all elements, including non-parliamentary parties, in preparing technical arguments. It is hoped that this initiative will be able to become a strong basis when submitted to election organizers, in line with regional efforts to strengthen cross-party communication synchronization in order to achieve the target of better representation in the 2031 elections. PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
