The people paying for the demonstration at the PT WKM Head Office were immediately evicted by residents

Viralterkini.id, Jakarta – Without a clear organizational identity, they stood in a group holding up provocative banners and making calls that cornered PT WKM at the gate of the PT WKM head office on Jl. Imam Bonjol No. 72, Central Jakarta on Monday (24/11) was immediately evicted by residents.

Some of them were seen covering their faces with masks and dark glasses.

The crowd came using several city transportation wearing masks and dark glasses. From information gathered at the location, it is suspected that this crowd was not residents who had a direct interest in the problems being faced by PT WKM, but rather a group that was deliberately mobilized by certain parties.

Amry’s name appears as the action coordinator. He is known to be a resident of Gorom, East Seram Regency (SBT), Maluku Province. Geographically and in terms of interests, Amry is not related to the illegal mining dispute between PT WKM and PT Position in East Halmahera, North Maluku, which is currently in progress.

A number of people who took part in speeches in front of the PT WKM office admitted that they were suddenly recruited in the Johar Baru, Karang Anyar and Bekasi areas.

“They were only promised transport money,” said a member of the security guard around the location who declined to be named.

On the other hand, Amry did not deny that he was only carrying out orders. He admitted that he was contacted and financed by a resident of North Maluku who lives in Jakarta.

“The person who ordered the beta par demo is called Abang R,” he said, naming the figure who gave him the funds to mobilize the crowd without explaining further.

Amry said that he received a sum of money to gather people and direct them to take action at the PT WKM Head Office.

The demonstration itself lasted very briefly, about 10 minutes. After a group of residents in the area approached and questioned the action, the crowd slowly withdrew, but there was physical tension.

In addition, Amry was also seen leading a group of unidentified people in a similar action at the Central Jakarta District Court on Wednesday, October 8, when the mining land dispute trial between PT WKM and PT Position was held. (ma)
