RYAN NIRWAN-ADI INDIARTO PUBLIC SPRINT RALLY SEMARANG SPRINT WITH GR YARIS RALLY2-INDONESIA’s latest viral

Viralterkini.id, Jakarta – Toyota Gazoo Racing Indonesia (TGRI), Ryan Nirwan, appeared dominant in the third series of the Sprint Rally 2025 National Championship which took place at the Poj City Circuit, Semarang, Central Java, last weekend.

Accompanied by its flagship navigator, Adi Indiarto, Ryan successfully won the overall title as well as a champion in the RC2 class after showing impressive performance with his latest rally vehicle, GR Yaris Rally2.

This victory is a special achievement considering that GR Yaris Rally2 is a new vehicle used by Ryan in the official event for the first time.

Even so, the rally born in Balikpapan was able to master the character of the car quickly and consistently appear impressive in all special stages (SS) contested.

“With an extra hard struggle, we were finally able to master the track and win all SS on Sundays. This victory is thanks to the work of the team and extraordinary support from all parties,” Ryan told the media, Tuesday (3/6/2025).

Ryan and Adi performed in the RC2 class, up one level from the RC3 which they participated in last season. Both appearances have been very solid since the first day despite being left behind from heavy rivals, Tebe Adhi, on Saturday.

But they rose on the second day by scoring the best time throughout the SS, ensuring the top position as a whole.

Ryan and Adi are not new couples in the rally world. Both have known each other since 2007 and officially strengthened the TGRI team since 2022.

The cohesiveness that has been built for a long time is considered to be one of the keys to their success.

Director of TGRI Rally Team, Rizal Sungkar, claimed to have never doubted the power of the Ryan -Adi duo.

“Their work is no longer in doubt. They are very strong and accustomed to stress,” Rizal said.

Rizal also expressed his appreciation to the sponsors who had provided full support in the team’s participation in the Semarang series, including Toyota Astra Motor (TAM), PT BRM Ready Mix, TCD (Mr. Obara San), and TMO Oil.

Ryan’s victory was also inseparable from the technical support of the engineer team, including Janis Urchs, a technician from Latvia who had a broad experience with GR Yaris Rally2.

Technical input from Janis proved crucial to help Ryan and Adi optimize the performance of vehicles on the Poj City Semarang track.

“Saturday we were left behind from Tebe Adhi. But after discussions with Janis, we got a lot of insight about vehicle arrangements. It was very helpful when performing Sunday,” said Ryan.

Ryan’s father, Roy Nirwan, was also present to provide direct support on the track. He even motivated his son by reminding the moment four years ago when Ryan immediately won after changing the vehicle.

“He said, ‘You once won directly after changing the car, repeat it here.’ And Alhamdulillah, it became a big motivation for me, “Ryan recalled.

The Poj City Semarang path is a new track that has never been used before, a challenge for all participants.

However, Ryan is able to adapt quickly, proves its quality as one of the national top rally rawers.

“The track is completely new to all the rally, but it makes the competition more exciting. I am happy to be able to adapt quickly and look consistent,” said Ryan.

With this victory, Ryan Nirwan and the TGRI team are increasingly confident to pursue the national title this year.

GR Yaris Rally2 itself is a Toyota production vehicle that was first present in Asia after Japan and is predicted to be the mainstay weapon of TGRI this season.

Furthermore, Ryan is scheduled to appear at the long rali championship which will be held on June 28, 2025 in Rambong Sialang, Medan.

He will also return to the Sprint Rally National Championship event in August 2025 in Meikarta, West Java.

“Hopefully GR Yaris Rally2 continues to give positive results for us in the next series. Our target is of course the national champion this year,” concluded Ryan.
