RRI is again committed to fostering Indonesian music talents – Indonesia’s latest viral

VIRALTERKINI.ID, JAKARTA – Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) reiterated its commitment in fostering homeland music talents by launching two singles from the winner of the 2024 radio star, as well as officially opening the Kick Off Star of Radio 2025.

Speaking in his written statement, the Director of LPU LPP RRI, Yonas Markus Tuhuleruw, emphasized that radio stars were not just competition, but a sustainable development room. The release of single and kick off Star Radio 2025 took place at the Auditorium Abdulrahman Saleh, RRI Jakarta, Thursday, July 3, 2025.

“Today, we launched the singles of two 2024 radio star winners. But, at the same time launching the 2025 radio star,” said Yonas Markus Tuhuleruw.

“RRI consistently scored stars from various parts of the archipelago, not only facilitating the work but also promoted to the roadshow,” he said.

The radio star event in previous years, gave birth to many big names in the Indonesian music industry, from Titiek Puspa to Andmesh Kamaleng. Because of that, said Yonas, radio stars can be a space for Indonesian sons and daughters everywhere to be able to channel their singing talents.

Two main winners last year, Davit Ingsani from Semarang and Nadia Penry from Denpasar, each released their first single.

The single titled “Love Without Plan” which is the work of Cipta Bemby Noor, was delivered by Davit. While Nadia performed the song “Still Love Dia” created by Trakast.

Both of these songs are produced with high quality by a professional team, as part of an exclusive contract given to the 2024 radio star champions.

Nadia, a girl from Gianyar, was born in 2008, claimed he did not expect to become a champion. “It feels like a dream. The song is really relate with my life story,” he said with teary eyes.

While Davit, a singer from Pekalongan, called this the fruit of his long struggle in the music world. “I am grateful to have the long-awaited work,” he said.

On the same occasion, RRI also announced the start of the 2025 radio star, which will be held from August to November. The selection process will start from the city level, continue to the national level, and be held openly for all Indonesian people aged 16-25 years.

The Star Radio 2024 Grand Final was previously held at the Surabaya City Hall and was enlivened by the performance of the legendary band of Padi Reborn, which successfully raised nostalgia and enthusiasm of the audience.

Of the total 3,956 participants, only 10 grand finalists managed to appear on the peak night, prove the strict selection and high quality of this event. (ma)
