Preparation of Youth Pledge Day 2025, Wamenpora Make sure Palembang is ready to hold the top of the event

Viralterkini.id, Jakarta-Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports (Wamenpora) of the Republic of Indonesia, Taufik Hidayat, emphasized that the commemoration of the 2025 Youth Oath Day (HSP) must take place as successful as previous years.

This was conveyed when receiving the Deputy Deputy for Youth Services of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Yohan, related to the preparation of HSP on the 10th floor of Graha Kemenpora, Jalan Gerbang Pemuda, Senayan, Monday (9/15/2025).

During the meeting, Yohan explained that the Peak of HSP 2025 would be held in Palembang, South Sumatra, on 28 October.

This year’s celebration is assembled with a program Creativity Community Fest 2025 which took place on October 14-18 in the courtyard of the South Sumatra DPRD building.

Meanwhile, HSP Fair will be held on October 19-28 in the Benteng Kuto Besak area (BKB), next to the icon of the city of Palembang, the Ampera Bridge.

“If the creativity is in the courtyard of the DPRD building, while for HSP Fair this will be carried out in the Benteng Kuto Besak area,” said Deputy Yohan accompanied by the Deputy Assistant.

This year’s HSP Fair will present a variety of activities involving local government, community, and creative industry collaboration.

These activities include the Bazaar of Popular and Culinary Culture Creative Products, Music Performances, Music Business Speech Title, Film, and Animation, Book Surgery and Comics, Content Creators, E-Games Contents and Board Games, to Sports Activities such as Yoga and Fun Pingpong with Celebrities.

The highlight of the event on October 28 will focus on three main agendas, namely the Speech of the Minister of Youth and Sports, awarding to Achievement Youth, as well as arts and cultural performances.

“On the eve of the peak of the Youth Pledge Day later, everything is packaged in the form of education and literacy, attractions and competitions, and collaboration,” Yohan explained.

Deputy Minister Taufik Hidayat asserted that all parties must ensure that the implementation of HSP 2025 went smoothly.

According to him, HSP warning is an important momentum that must give meaning to the younger generation.

“The commemoration of last year’s Youth Oath Day at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah was good. For this year, of course it must also be successful,” said Taufik who was accompanied by experts in the field of communication and experts in the field of youth services.

He also highlighted a number of technical things that needed to be ascertained, such as the availability of budget, the feasibility of the location by taking into account the safety and weather factors, to the official HSP 2025 logo design which would be socialized to all regions.

“Technical preparation, including the logo and event identity, must be immediately determined so that it can be widely campaigned,” he added.

In addition to discussing HSP preparation, the meeting also alluded to other programs in the field of youth services.

Wamenpora Taufik emphasized that the entire agenda of the Ministry of Youth and Sports must continue to run even though at this time the position of the Minister of Youth and Sports is still waiting for definitive filling.

According to him, the program that had been inherited by the Menpora previously should not be stopped. “The existing legation must continue to be carried out and continued as it should,” said Taufik.

The election of Palembang as the host of HSP 2025 added a long list of cities in Indonesia which had been the center of historical day for youth.

The presence of HSP Fair at Benteng Kuto Besak is expected to attract thousands of visitors from various regions.

The Regional Government of South Sumatra together with the Ministry of Youth and Sports has prepared full support so that the entire series of activities runs lively and safe.

Bazaar creative products and art performances are expected to be a promotional event for local MSMEs and increase tourist visits to Palembang.

The Youth Oath Day which is celebrated every 28 October is one of the nation’s milestones. This year, Kemenpora wants to present a fresher concept by involving various creative communities.

Collaboration between the government, business actors, creative communities, to creator content is believed to be able to present a new atmosphere in the HSP commemoration.

Not only ceremonial, but also a space for appreciation, education, and inspiration for the young generation of Indonesia.

Wamenpora closed his direction in the hope that the HSP 2025 in Palembang would be able to have a positive impact for young people.

“This is the momentum of the rise of youth. We want this event to give a new encouragement to the next generation of the nation,” he said.

With various preparations being matured, HSP 2025 in Palembang is projected to be one of the biggest celebrations in the history of the Youth Pledge Commemoration in Indonesia.
