Pertamina Oil Corruption Trial Presents Nicke Widyawati, 18 Suspects Ensnared

Viralterkini.id – Former President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) for the 2018–2024 period, Nicke Widyawati, attended the trial of alleged corruption in the management of crude oil and refined products within PT Pertamina (Persero), subholdings, and Cooperation Contract Contractors (KKKS) for the 2018–2023 period.

The trial took place at the Corruption Crime Court (Tipikor) at the Central Jakarta District Court, Tuesday (20/1/2026).

The Public Prosecutor (JPU) presented Nicke as a witness in today’s trial. He arrived at the Central Jakarta Corruption Court at around 10.00 WIB wearing a white and black striped shirt and a black headscarf.

The Head of the Indonesian Attorney General’s Legal Information Center, Anang Supriatna, said that the prosecutor summoned nine witnesses to give statements at the trial of the case. Apart from Nicke, the witnesses scheduled to appear include:

1. Former Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) for the 2016–2019 period, Ignasius Jonan
2. Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources for the 2016–2019 period, Arcandra Tahar
3. President Commissioner of PT Pertamina for the 2019–2024 period, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok
4. Senior Manager Management Reporting PT Refinery Pertamina International, Luvita Yuni
5. Rayendra
6. UFO Budianto
7. Prima Panggabean
8. Rusdi Rahmani

Until this news was written, other witnesses such as Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, Ignasius Jonan, and Arcandra Tahar had not been seen present in the courtroom.

In this case, investigators named 18 people as suspects. They come from the board of directors, strategic officials from Pertamina and subholdings, to the private sector. One of the names on the list of suspects is Mohammad Riza Chalid, including his son, Muhammad Kerry Adrianto Riza.

The 18 suspects in the case of alleged corruption in the management of Pertamina’s crude oil and refined products for the 2018–2023 period include:

8. Dimas Werhaspati (Commissioner of PT Jenggala Maritim)
9. Gading Ramadhan Joedo (President Director of PT Orbit Terminal Merak)
10. Alfian Nasution (VP Supply & Distribution Pertamina 2011–2015)
11. Hanung Budya Yuktyanta (Director of Marketing & Commerce, Pertamina)
12. Toto Nugroho (VP Integrated Supply Chain)
13. Dwi Sudarsono (VP Crude & Trading Pertamina)
14. Arief Sukmara (Director of Gas Petrochemical Pertamina International Shipping)

This case is one of the largest corruption cases in the energy sector currently being tried, considering the wide network of perpetrators and the time period of the alleged crime which lasted for five years. (**)
