Menpora KONI and Kopassus Give Motivation – Viralterkini

VIRALTERKINI.ID, BOGOR-Chairperson of the Central KONI, Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Marciano Norman, officially opened the National Championship (National Championship) of the Soccer Cup Rotating Chairperson of the 6th KONI Central 2025.

“This morning I was proud to open the 6th edition of the KONI Central Chairperson. This tournament competed four age categories: KU-10, KU-12, KU-14, and KU-16, each of which was attended by 28 teams from various regions,” Marciano told the media crew after the opening ceremony.

Marciano expressed his appreciation for the full support of Danjen Kopassus who had provided Battalion 14 facilities as the host of the implementation. He also highlighted a solid collaboration between the Central KONI, TNI, Ministry of Youth and Sports, and PSSI in supporting the development of early age athletes.

“This event is an important step in filtering the seeds of Indonesian footballers. I appreciate all parties who have worked hard to hold this National Championship until the 6th edition. God willing, in the coming years it will be better in terms of the quality of the implementation and selection of players,” he added.

This year, the KONI Cup National Championship was attended by 112 teams from various provinces in Indonesia, including DKI Jakarta, West Java, East Java, Banten, Bali, Yogyakarta, Lampung, West Sumatra, North Sumatra, Jambi, Riau, Bengkulu, West Kalimantan, to South Sumatra.

The chairman of the National Championship, Taufik Panji Alam, explained that some of the participating teams came through the regional qualifying round or regional series, which then sent the best champions and the team to the national round.

The four aged age categories include:

KU-10 (Birth 2015-2016)

KU-12 (born 2013-2014)

KU-14 (born 2011-2012)

KU-16 (Birth 2009-2010)

This tournament is held for 12 days, starting from 10 to 21 May 2025, with two main venues: Elang Bondol Atang Sendjaja Stadium and Suropati Stadium Suropati Battalion 14 Kopassus. The total number of participants involved, including athletes, coaches, and officials, reached around 2,856 people, not including the audience and the athlete’s parents.

“The match was divided in waves from KU-10 to KU-16. We also work hard to ensure the validity of player data so that there is no violation of age,” said Taufik.

He also appreciated the support of media colleagues and journalists who actively published the course of the match from the preparation round to the knockout phase and the peak of the tournament.
