Lively Anniversary of DKI, Ancol Holds the Wonder of Jakarta Cultural Arts – Indonesia’s Latest Viral

VIRALTERKINI.ID, JAKARTA-PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk held a series of events containing arts and cultural activities with the theme “Wonder of Jakarta” in the Ancol Taman Impian Tourism Destination area in enlivening the 498th anniversary of Jakarta on June 22, 2025.

“Taman Impian presents a series of events that not only entertain, but also reflect on the diversity, innovation, and spirit of collaboration of Jakarta residents,” said Corporate Communication of PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol Tbk Daniel Windriatmoko in Jakarta on Saturday.

He said the main event this year was “Wonders of Jakarta” which will be held on Sunday (6/22) starting at 18:30 WIB at the Ancol Festival Beach with Jakarta’s Sugugu Ria.

According to him, this event became part of the peak of the 498th anniversary of Jakarta which took place simultaneously at various cities.

Daniel also invited all Jakarta residents to celebrate by singing together and dancing together at Ancol Taman Impian by displaying the Dangdut Nusantara orchestra.

In addition, the fantasy or Dufan world recreation unit also celebrated the excitement of the 498th Anniversary of Jakarta with the Batavia Fest event which began at 10:00 to 20:00 WIB.

Batavia Fest presents events that reflect the journey of cultural acculturation from the Dutch East Indies era to the Batavia era.

According to Daniel, the Batavia Fest was opened with a doorstop, then the appearance of Mpok Jakarta’s brother followed by the theatrical performances of ‘Journey to Batavia Parade’ accompanied by the movement of the Batavia Dance dance.

“This activity was closed with a firework show or fireworks party at night,” he said.

In addition, the ‘Jakarta Local Soul’ art exhibition was also held as a form of expression of artists to give Jakarta’s color to the global and cultured city.

This exhibition invites to reflect on how Jakarta can become an inclusive laboratory that combines local cultural identity with a national vision.

He said around 41 artists of the Ancol Art Market community responded to reflect on Jakarta various works ranging from paintings, sculptures, craft arts, batik and others.

This work acts as the glue of differences into a beautiful togetherness fabric.

“The Jakarta Local Soul ‘art exhibition is open to the community to take place at the Art Market Gallery on June 22 – July 6, 2025,” Daniel said. (ma)
