Viralterkini.id, JAKARTA – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) confirmed that the name of the President’s Special Envoy for the Development of the Young Generation and Arts Workers, Raffi Ahmad, appeared in a series of investigations into alleged corruption cases within the Directorate General of Customs and Excise at the Ministry of Finance.
Acting Director of Corruption Eradication Commission Investigations, Achmad Taufik Husein, explained that Raffi Ahmad’s name was revealed in the trial regarding the activity of sending electronic goods from the United States to Indonesia via the cargo service company Blueray Cargo.
“It’s true, there are facts that RA’s brother entrusted it,” said Achmad Taufik Husein as quoted by Antara, Monday (8/6/2026).
However, the Corruption Eradication Committee has not yet summoned Raffi Ahmad because it has not found any facts that point to his involvement in the case being handled.
“Yesterday we didn’t develop it too far because we had not yet come to the facts that confirmed that it was part of the Blueray incident dealing with immigration at the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, so then we didn’t make a summons,” he said.
Achmad emphasized that the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) still opens up opportunities to explore this information if during the trial new facts emerge that are relevant to the case.
“Will the facts of the trial become new facts which then need to be investigated? Yes, we will carry out investigations of course,” he added.
This case started with a sting operation (OTT) carried out by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) within the Directorate General of Customs and Excise on February 4 2026. The day after, the anti-corruption agency named six people as suspects out of a total of 17 parties arrested.
The suspects consisted of a number of Customs officials, namely Rizal (RZL), Sisprian Subiaksono (SIS), and Orlando Hamonangan (ORL), as well as three parties from the Blueray Cargo company, namely John Field (JF), Andri (AND), and Dedy Kurniawan (DK).
The Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) then again named the Head of the Excise Intelligence Section of the Customs Enforcement and Investigation Directorate, Budiman Bayu Prasojo (BBP), as a new suspect on February 26 2026.
As the investigation progressed, the Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) also confiscated cash worth IDR 5.19 billion which was found in five suitcases in a safe house in the Ciputat area, South Tangerang. The money is suspected to be related to cases of alleged bribery and gratification related to the import of counterfeit goods or KW goods.
This case entered the trial stage on May 6 2026 with defendants John Field, Andri, and Dedy Kurniawan. In the indictment, the name of the Director General of Customs and Excise, Djaka Budi Utama, was also mentioned along with a number of other Customs and Excise officials.
The KPK Public Prosecutor then revealed during the trial that Djaka Budi Utama was suspected of receiving bribes amounting to 213,600 Singapore dollars or around Rp. 3.01 billion.
Meanwhile, Raffi Ahmad’s name has returned to public attention after being mentioned in a trial on June 5 2026 regarding his visit to the Blueray Cargo office in the United States. Until now, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) emphasizes that it has not found any evidence that points to Raffi Ahmad’s involvement in the criminal act of corruption that is being investigated.
