Viralterkini.id, NTT — Dedi Mulyadi, Governor of West Java who is familiarly called KDM, picked up 12 residents of West Java Province in Maumere, Sikka Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT). They are suspected of being victims of criminal acts of human trafficking (TPPO) while working at a local nightclub.
KDM came to Maumere on Monday (23/2/2026) to immediately confirm the condition of the residents. He wants to make sure they are healthy, safe and well before being sent back to West Java.
Condition and Repatriation of Victims
KDM explained that the victims worked as song guides (LC) at entertainment venues in Maumere. He stated that even though they would return to West Java, the legal process regarding the alleged TIP would still continue.
The victims have stated that they are willing to take part in all legal stages, including investigations, investigations, and if asked to become witnesses in court.

KDM ensures that the West Java Provincial Government will provide legal assistance to the victims until the legal process is complete.
He added that after being returned to West Java, the victims could return to Maumere if needed to handle their cases.
