Viralterkini.id, Tangerang – Garuda Pertiwi squad will appear at the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2025 qualification event which takes place from 29 June to 5 July 2025 at the Kelapa Dua Sport Center Stadium Tangerang which will be broadcast live at Indosiar and Vidio.com.
Garuda Pertiwi joined in Group D, together with Kirgistan, Pakistan, and Taiwan (Chinese Taipei).
The match against Kirgistan and Pakistan can be the key to Satoru Mochizuki’s squad. The reason is if you look at FIFA’s ranking, the two countries are still far below Indonesia and China Taipei.
Based on FIFA ranking as of June 12, 2025, Indonesia ranked 95 with 1,211.38 points. Kirgistan is ranked 136 with 1,088.16 points and Pakistan in 157 armed with 950.27 points. China Taipei itself is the main force in Group D because it occupies a 42th rank with a collection of 1,539.08 points.
Long preparation, strengthened by quality players to act to be the host that makes him sure Safira Ika cs can talk a lot in the tournament later.
The Japanese coach also asked the players to stay confident and not afraid of anyone against anyone.
“If we talk in all parts of any country, in any team, certainly for the head coach they have their respective responsibilities and pressure,” said Satoru Mochizuki at the Indomilk Arena Stadium, Tangerang, Saturday (6/28/2025).
“To be able to qualify as group D champion D target is quite high. I and also players want to fight, so we want to target rank 1,”.
“If we look at the history of football, wherever there are many team events that are more below can win from the teams that are more above. But we want to fight, not only can win just with luck, but we want to be able to win with the struggle we do,” he explained.
In this 2026 women’s Asian Cup qualification event, Indonesia, which acts as the host of Group D, will compete with Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan and Chinese Taipei. (ma)
