Indonesia dominates the first day of the UIPM 2025 Southeast Asian Championships in Thailand

Viralterkini.id, Jakarta – Indonesian modern pentathlon athletes under the Indonesian Modern Pentathlon Central Management (PP MPI) made a splash by winning four of the six gold medals up for grabs in the Laser Run category on the first day of the Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne (UIPM) 2025 Southeast Asian Championships in Thailand, Saturday (18/10/2025).

“Alhamdulillah, today’s blessings will hopefully bring blessings for the following days,” said the General Chairperson of PP MPI, Young Marshal TNI Dr.

Success in winning a gold medal for Indonesia was opened by Nisrina Aira Firdaus who took part in the Laser Run under 17 female athletes. He became the best by recording the fastest time of 12 minutes 27.82 seconds. Home athletes Batkhunthod Waransicha and Nuangyong won silver and bronze.

Indonesia’s second gold was presented by Farras Satrio Aris Sugianto from Laser Run under 15 male athletes. Farras recorded the best time of nine minutes 14.57 seconds. Indonesian athlete Muh. Aldo Raditya (09:23.40) and bronze went to Nutithawet Kornpop from Thailand (09:24.33).

Indonesia’s third prize of gold was presented by Vera Febrianti in the Laser Run Senior Female with a best time of 12 minutes 53.66 seconds. Indonesian athlete Dea Salsabila Putri also recorded silver with a time of 13 minutes 06.13 seconds. Meanwhile, bronze went to Ninvisut Phapada (Thailand) with a time of 14 minutes 09.98 seconds.

Indonesia’s fourth gold medal was won by Fadhil Aulia Mufti who won the Laser Run Senior Male Athletes category. He set a best time of 10 minutes 40.53 seconds.

The silver and bronze Laser Run Senior Male Athletes medals were won by Phuc Truong Nguyen (Vietnam/10: 46.75) and Changhing Apisit (Thailand/ 10: 50.54).

The UIPM 2025 Southeast Asian Championships will then have competition on the second day in the Triathle category and the final day will be in the Obstacle -Laser Run category.
