According to information from the Press, Media, and Information Bureau of the Secretary of the Vice President (Setwishing President), Gibran’s visit to Kalimalang aims to ensure that people feel the lively and togetherness in the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.

“Arriving around 16.50 WIB, the Vice President was immediately welcomed warmly by the residents. The atmosphere was even more lively when he joined the action of the participants of the Pinang Climbing Competition. Not a few residents who were enthusiastic about capturing the moment with the Vice President,” the press statement said from Setwapres.

Gibran also took the time to take pictures with the contestants who were full of mud, but still showed a proud smile.

Meanwhile, Cipinang Melayu Village Chief, Arroyo Antoro, expressed his pride for the arrival of Gibran in Kalimalang. According to Antoro, Gibran’s presence was an unexpected surprise.

“I am very happy and touched. At first we thought only a prize was sent, it turns out that the Vice President came directly. This was a sweet surprise as well as a big pride for us,” he said.

Arroyo added that the preparations for the Pinang Climbing Competition had been carried out optimally, even though their area had experienced a flood a few days before.
