Hinca Pandjaitan emphasizes not to associate the Democrats with the Case of Fake Jokowi – Indonesia’s latest viral diploma

Viralterkini.id, Jakarta-Member of the Democratic Party High Council, Hinca Pandjaitan, stressed that his party was never involved in the issue of the fake diploma of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and had nothing to do with the accusation of the political agenda behind the issue.

“We emphasize, there is no business with us with this fake diploma case, let alone associated with the political agenda behind this. This is this great slander, we reject this,” said Hinca at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Monday (7/28/2025).

Hinca also emphasized that telematics expert Roy Suryo, who was making a fuss about Jokowi’s diploma was no longer a Democratic Party cadre since he resigned from the party bearing the Mercy star in 2019.

“So there is no relationship between Roy Suryo with the Democratic Party. There is absolutely nothing,” said Hinca.

According to Hinca, there were parties who deliberately withdraw the Democratic Party because Roy Suryo had been part of his party.

“Maybe people are tugging because there is Roy Suryo ever had experience with us. I emphasize once again, I was the Secretary General of the Democratic Party at that time,” Hinca said again.

Hinca asserted, that what Roy Suryo is doing at this time is a personal initiative and his resignation status from the party no longer has a relationship with Democrats.

“Therefore there is no relationship between what Roy Suryo is doing and the Democratic Party. There is absolutely no. That is his personal responsibility. The Democratic Party is not involved and does not want to involve himself about the case of fake diplomas,” said Hinca.
