Viralterkini.id, Jakarta – Finally, the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) determined that former Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, Nadiem Makarim as a suspect in the alleged corruption case of the procurement of chromebook laptops this afternoon, Thursday (4/9/2025).

Previously, Nadiem had been examined twice in the corruption case of procured chromebook laptops. Nadiem was examined for the first time last Monday (6/23), which lasted about 12 hours. Then, Nadiem was again examined on Tuesday (7/15) for about 9 hours.

Today is the third examination of Nadiem. Nadiem has also been prevented abroad for the next 6 months since June 19, 2025.

Nadiem was previously known as one of the founders of the Gojek application. He founded the online motorcycle taxi service together with Kevin Aluwi and Machaelangelo Moran in 2010.

After being fairly successful with Gojek, Nadiem continued his career as a minister in the Indonesian Cabinet Formed formed by Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Ma’ruf Amin in 2019.

When he was first elected as Minister Nadiem reported assets worth Rp 1.23 trillion with a debt of Rp 185.36 billion. The largest component of assets is securities with a value of Rp 1.25 trillion.

In 2022, Nadiem reported the surge in assets to Rp 4.87 trillion with a debt of Rp 790.76 billion. The surge in assets was caused by securities that darted to Rp 5.66 trillion.

Nadiem securities surge along with the IPO of PT Goto Gojek Tokopedia on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. In the Goto IPO Prospectus, Nadiem was recorded as the owner of 522,053,000 (20.5%).

Meanwhile, in the last LHKPN, October 31, 2024, Nadiem’s ​​property was shrinking to Rp 600.64 billion, after deducting debt of Rp 466.23 billion. This is in line with the securities he has significantly down to Rp 926.09 billion.
