Coordinating Minister for Politics and Security Appreciation of the TNI Navy Fairly Magic Narcotics Smuggling – Viralterkini

Viralterkini.id, Jakarta-The Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs, Police General (Ret.) Budi Gunawan, expressed his highest appreciation for the success of the Navy in thwarting the efforts to smuggle narcotics in large numbers through the sea route in the Riau Islands region.

As is known, on Wednesday (05/14/2025), the Fleet One Quick Response (F1QR) Team of Tanjung Balai Karimun Navy Base (Lanal Tbk) succeeded in thwarting the smuggling of large-scale narcotics carried out by a Thai-flagged foreign fishing vessel named Aungtoetoe 99. Strait Durian, Tanjung Balai Karimun Regency, Riau Islands Province.

As a follow -up, the Navy held the destruction of narcotics evidence on Tuesday (5/20/2025) at the Batam Lantamal IV Command Headquarters. The event was attended by ministries/institutions that are members of the drug eradication coordination desk, which consisted of elements of the Coordinating Ministry for Politics and Security, TNI, Polri, Customs and Excise of the Ministry of Finance, BNN, BIN, and Forkopimda Riau Islands.

The Coordinating Minister for Politics and Security said that this success reflects a strong commitment of the government in the war against drugs, which is a real threat to the future of the nation and young generation of Indonesia.

“This success is clear evidence that the state is present and does not tolerate narcotics crime.

As the person in charge of the Drug Eradication Coordination Desk, the Coordinating Minister for Politics and Security stressed that the success of the Indonesian Navy reflects an integrated synergy between government agencies, law enforcement officials, and the community in overcoming drug abuse.

“Eradication of drugs is not the duty of one institution or institution. This is a joint task that requires the involvement of all elements of society – ranging from the government, security forces, educational institutions, to the community itself,” he said.

The Coordinating Minister for Politics and Security also stressed the importance of strengthening efforts to prevent, education and rehabilitation for victims of drug abuse, in line with firm and measurable law enforcement.

“The step of the Indonesian Navy is an inspiration and standard for other institutions in carrying out the duties of the state. The destruction of evidence today is a concrete form of the state’s commitment in ensuring that illicit goods do not return to circulation and threaten the community,” he continued.

The Coordinating Minister for Politics and Security closed his statement by expressing appreciation to all parties who had synergized and contributed in supporting the success of handling this case.

“The synergy that is built today is an example of real collaboration. We are optimistic that with firm and directed steps, Indonesia will be stronger in facing the threat of narcotics,” he concluded.
