Viralterkini.id, Jakarta-Institute of Social Sciences and Management (STIAMI) held the 48th graduation of academic years 2024/2025 at the Sasana Kriya Building, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, Jakarta, Thursday (9/25/2025).
This event carries the theme “Changing for Progress; Impacting to the Country” which reflects STIAMI’s commitment to give birth to adaptive graduates, with integrity, and is ready to contribute to the nation.
A total of 1,207 graduates from vocational, graduate, to postgraduate programs were confirmed at that moment.
This number is part of a total of 1,448 graduates of the academic year 2024/2025, consisting of 438 odd period graduates and 1,010 graduates of the even period.
Rector of STIAMI Institute, Prof. Dr. Sylviana Murni, SH, M.Sc, emphasized that graduation is an important momentum to strengthen the role of graduates in the community.
“The graduates not only complete formal education, but also the journey of character formation, values, and integrity. The degree obtained is the mandate as well as the responsibility to work, innovate, and make a real contribution to the nation,” said Prof. Sylviana.
In scientific oration, Governor of Lemhannas RI, Dr. TB. H. Ace Hasan Syadzily, emphasizing the importance of young people with character.
“This graduation shows the contribution of STIAMI in educating the life of the nation. But more than intellectual intelligence, this nation needs a young generation with a national character. There is no developed country except the main foundation is the love of the motherland,” he said.
Ace added, in the midst of global geopolitical dynamics, the younger generation must be tough and integrity.
“My hope, STIAMI consistently gave birth to graduates who were competitive and committed to maintaining national resilience,” he said.
Similarly, Deputy Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Afriansyah Noor, highlighted the challenges of the world of work.
“We are in the era of employment transformation. Work patterns are changing fast, dominant digital technology, and entrepreneurship are the key to competitiveness. STIAMI graduates, with academic and character provisions, I am sure they are ready to face these challenges,” he said.
As STIAMI alumni, Afriansyah also gave a special message. “Don’t stop learning, continue to hone digital skills, build international networks, and don’t be afraid of innovating. The world of work is waiting for your contributions,” he said.
This graduation is also special thanks to the achievements of new accreditation. The Communication Science Masters Program achieved accredited status, while the Masters in Administrative Sciences received superior accreditation from Lamspak.
In addition, 19 research groups with 47 STIAMI lecturers won the Ministry of Education and Culture Research Grants worth Rp788 million.
As many as 25 lecturers also passed the certification of educators, so that now more than 80 STIAMI lecturers have been certified.
Internationalization is also strengthened. A total of 32 students of the Hospitality and Tourism Study Program were undergoing an internship in Japan.
In addition, STIAMI expanded cooperation with more than 50 partners, including the Jakarta State University and the Indonesia Research Institute Japan (IRIJ).
One important collaboration was announced in this 48th graduation. Transjakarta President Director, Welfizon Yuza, said that cooperation with STIAMI was a historic moment.
“This afternoon is a proud moment for us in Transjakarta. Our presence is not only to celebrate graduates and graduates, but also marks important moments for Transjakarta and STIAMI,” Welfizon said.
He explained, the agreed form of cooperation was the naming of the South Rawa Stop became STIAMI South Rawa Stop.
In addition, STIAMI also gave scholarship commitments to Transjakarta people, ranging from employees, staff, to field officers.
“This is certainly an inspiration for other institutions. Collaboration is a key word to grow together and have a real impact for the nation. Moreover, the South Rawa Stop STIAMI is the first stop named according to educational institutions. This is very proud of both parties,” he said.
Closing the graduation procession, Rector Prof. Sylviana expressed her hopes that graduates become alumni who bring real benefits.
“Hopefully the knowledge gained becomes the light of change wherever they are. Be an alumni who have noble, superior, and competitive alumni, and have a real impact in realizing the 2045 gold Indonesia,” he concluded. (ma)
