VIRALTERKINI.ID, JAKARTA, – Candidate Chairperson of the University of Indonesia Alumni Association (ILUNI UI) for 2025-2028 period, M. Pradana Indraputra, launched a 1,000 -year -old scholarship program in an alumni gathering with stakeholders held at 18 Parc Place, SCBD Jakarta, Tuesday (19/8). This event carries the theme “Continuous Legal Development: From Sharing to Scholarship.”
The scholarship program includes special education in the Advocate Profession (PKPA) and legal professional certification. This launch was one of the superior programs of the “UI Growing Movement Movement” which was carried by Pradana in the campaign period towards the Election of ILUNI UI Chairperson.
Pradana explained, the scholarship program growing science is a form of real commitment to increase the capacity of the University of Indonesia alumni, especially graduates of the Faculty of Law UI (FHUI). Through cooperation with Dr. Faizal Hafied, FHUI alumnus of the 2001 class of FHUI as well as President of the Indonesian National Lawyers Council, PKPA scholarships will be given to 3,000 alumni in three years, or 1,000 people every year.
“The cost of this advocate education reaches Rp5.7 million per person. With this cooperation, Alhamdulillah we can distribute assistance of more than Rp15 billion in the form of special education in the advocate profession,” said Pradana Candidate Ketum Iluni UI UI number 2.
According to him, this scholarship is open to FHUI graduates both from the S1, S2, and S3 levels. He asserted, this initiative was proof that UI alumni still had a great concern for their alma mater.
The launch event was also attended by a number of influential alumni, including Dr. Faizal Hafied and Rian Hidayat, SH, MH, FHUI alumni of the 2007 class of FHUI who now work as advocates and partners in Nusa Advocates.
Faizal Hafied expressed his full support to Pradana because he considered this program to be concrete and immediately touched the needs of alumni.
“I see what Pradana said is a concrete step to glue UI alumni. This program is not only an idea, but really contributes to the UI academic community. Our main dedication is given to FHUI through PKPA scholarships for 1,000 people per year. God willing, tomorrow 90 first alumni can start this program in full,” said Faizal.
In addition to advocate scholarships, Pradana also revealed that scholarships grow knowledge have a wider scope. This program is designed to support various scientific fields at the University of Indonesia.
“In addition to advocates, we also prepare specialist research scholarships for medical students with a quota of 50 people every year. We also have final project assistance for students, including support for field learning practices at the Faculty of Public Health which can reach Rp250 million every year,” Pradana explained.
Not only that, the UI team grew together also prepared IELTS and TOEFL scholarships to support students who wanted to continue their studies to the S2 level through international scholarship schemes such as LPDP.
“Hopefully, we can provide full scholarships for UI alumni in various fields, not just law,” he added.
Closing the event, Pradana invited all alumni of the University of Indonesia to contribute back to the alma mater. According to him, the spirit of togetherness shown by senior alumni such as Faizal Hafied must be an example for others.
“This is proof that UI alumni still care. There are still many who want to help their younger siblings. I invite alumni who have succeeded to contribute, both in the form of scholarships, coaching, and other programs. Let us together raise our alma mater,” he said.
The alumni gathering event with stakeholders became an important momentum ahead of the Election of ILUNI Chairperson of UI 2025-2028. The presence of alumni figures from various generations shows the solidity of the UI network as well as a commitment to support the development of broader human resources.
With a scholarship program that directly touching the needs of alumni, Pradana Indraputra stressed that his vision is not just a campaign slogan, but a real work to bring positive changes to the large community of UI alumni.
