11 Records broken on the first day of the Indonesian Aquatic National Championship 2025 – Viralterkini

Viralterkini.id, Jakarta -The first day of the Indonesian Aquatic National Championship (National Championship) 2025 which was held at the Aquatic Stadium of Gelora Bung Karno, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday (5/29/2025), was immediately colored by the rupture of national records and age groups.

A total of 11 records were created on the inaugural day of this prestigious event.

A total of 1,153 athletes from 21 provinces took part in the event which was held until June 1, 2025.

The swimming branch is the main focus with 591 athletes to take part, presenting fierce competition from the qualifying session to the final round.

Young swimmer from DKI Jakarta, Adelia Chantika Aulia (14), became the main focus after appearing stunning in two different numbers: 100 meters of women’s freestyle and 100 meters of women’s backstroke. In the morning qualification session, Adelia broke the record group 2 (KU 2) for the number 100 meters backstroke with a time of 1 minute 3.28 seconds.

This note deleted Sofie Kemala Fatiha’s old record (1 minute 5.51 seconds) created in 2015.

Not stopping there, Adelia returned to break my record of 2 number 100 meters of women’s freestyle in qualifications with a time of 57.03 seconds, passing the old record of Ni Pande Lisa (2022).

The climax occurred in the final round when Adelia recorded 56.49 seconds in the 100 meter freestyle number, breaking the national record of Patricia Yosita Hapsari (56.95 seconds) recorded in 2021.

“Alhamdulillah, I am happy. Actually there is no target to break the record, but because it is approaching, the coach began to target. I tried to appear loose,” Adelia said after the match.

Overall, Adelia recorded 1 national record and 4 KU national records 2 in just one day.

In the men’s sector, two DKI Jakarta swimmers appear prominent. Samuel Maxson Septonus (17) scored a record group age 1 (KU 1, age 16-18) at the number 50 meters of men’s butterfly style.

He finished with 24.74 seconds, faster than the previous record that belongs to Senimusu Elyon (24.77 seconds) made in 2024.

Meanwhile, Jason Donovan Yusuf (18) again sharpened his own record at the men’s 100 meter freestyle.

Jason recorded a time of 50.40 seconds, improving the previous record (50.62 seconds) which he made during the 2025 DKI Province Championship.

No less amazing is a national training swimmer from DKI Jakarta, Flairene Candrea. He recorded two new national records in the women’s 100 meter backstroke in one day.

In the morning qualifying round, Flairene broke the time of 1 minute 2.30 seconds, breaking Angel Gabriella Yus’s record (1 minute 3.18 seconds) printed in the championship in Malaysia last year.

In the final in the afternoon, Flairene again sharpened his own record with a record time of 1 minute 2.25 seconds.

“Actually, I really didn’t expect it. First of all, I was grateful to God, and I had to stay focused and consistent because the opponents were also getting heavier,” Flairene said after the race.

From the Island of the Gods, Lilly Kartika Beales also carved out achievements. He appeared as a national record winner in the age group 1 at the 50 meter of women’s butterfly style with a record time of 28.22 seconds.

Lilly deleted her own record before (28.25 seconds) made in Malaysia Invitational Age Group 2025.

Overall, 3 National Records and 8 National Records of the Age Group were successfully solved on the first day of the Indonesian Aquatic National Championship 2025.

This achievement became a strong signal that the regeneration of Indonesian swimming athletes went well and competition was increasingly competitive.

The Indonesian Aquatic National Championship 2025 will still last until June 1, with the swimming branch to be one of the most anticipated, given the potential for the birth of a new record is still very open.
