Suffering from a single accident, Gary Iskak dies

Viralterkini, Jakarta – Actor Gary Isaac died in the early hours of Saturday (29/11) after having a motorbike accident. The sad news was confirmed by Ajeng, who is the manager of Gary’s wife, Richa Novisha.

“Yes, [benar] Mas Gary passed away,” said Ajeng on Saturday (29/11), but could not provide a detailed explanation.

Information about Gary Iskak’s accident initially circulated through comedian Ade Jigo’s upload on Instagram Stories. He uploaded a video of someone believed to be Gary lying on the road with a fallen motorbike.

“Gary Iskak had an accident,” wrote Ade in his upload.

Not long afterward, he returned to report that Gary had died.

The police later confirmed the incident. South Jakarta Metro Police Chief Commissioner Pol Nicolas Ary Lilipaly explained that the accident occurred at around 00.30 WIB in the Pesanggrahan area.

“According to witness Isnandar (car wash employee) that the victim was thrown because he hit a tree so he was out of control,” said Nicolas in a written statement, Saturday (29/11).

Pesanggrahan Police Chief AKP Seala Syah Alam added that Gary died after receiving intensive care.

“The victim arrived at the hospital at 1.00 WIB in the morning after undergoing intensive treatment at 9.00 this morning and was declared dead by the RSPPN Sunyoto hospital,” said Seala.

A number of eyewitnesses at the location also gave testimony. Angga, a workshop employee near the scene, said he heard a loud crash before discovering the accident.

“Half past one that night, I was at work, hanging out, and suddenly I heard a crash,” said Angga, Saturday (29/11).

At first he didn’t recognize the victim, until he shared information with the group and found out that the victim was Gary.

“I shared with the group that someone knew me, it turned out he was Bang Gary,” he said.

Angga said Gary was riding a motorbike from Tanah Kusir and suffered injuries, especially to the head. Residents then took Gary to the hospital.

“Last night, the victim was immediately taken to hospital, transported by motorbike,” explained Angga.

He said many residents gathered at the location before Gary was evacuated.

Gary Iskak will be buried at Tanah Kusir TPU, South Jakarta, Saturday (29/11) afternoon.

According to information on the funeral home notice board, the funeral was held at 15.30 WIB.

Gary is known as an actor who has been active in the world of films and soap operas since the early 2000s. Born in Bogor, 11 July 1979, he comes from a family of artists.

His debut on the big screen began with Shooting Stars (2000) before starring in a number of popular films such as What’s Up with Love? (2002), Purple Violet (2005), Red is Love (2007), Pocong 3, Married Contract 3 (2013), to Young Mango (2020).

He also appeared as a cameo in several films, such as Insya Allah Sah (2017), Warkop DKI Reborn 3 (2019), and Later We Tell About Today (2020).

Apart from films, Gary has starred in dozens of soap operas since his debut at Opera SMU (2001), including Baim’s Diary (2010), Heart Series 2 (2013), Cahaya Hati (2017), and Kun Anta 2 (2019). His passing left deep sorrow for the Indonesian entertainment industry.
