Special Interview of National Tempe Day 2025 – Indonesia’s latest viral

VIRATERKINI.ID, BOGOR-Tempe Indonesia Forum (FTI) holds an annual agenda every June 6, 2025 in different ways. In 2025 FTI held Tempe Budaya Rembug which was celebrated at the Salak Heritage Hotel Bogor, Saturday (6/14).

“The initiation of the cultural submission of tempe as a cultural heritage of non-objects to UNESCO has actually begun since 2014 and finally our struggle and colleagues from various organizations and tempe activists are received by the Indonesian government to be submitted to UNESCO. Surely we still have to wait for the determination by UNESCO in a hearing that was scheduled in 2026,” said Prof. Hardinsyah, Chairman of FTI.

“Happy because it turns out that tempeh is liked by residents in foreign countries, but also adds a sense of pride to our nation because it turns out that it has thought since time immemorial made simple food a tremendous preparation that turned out to contain high protein that could replace animal protein, this is extraordinary,” said Dedie A. Rachim.
