Last Day LPS Monas Half Marathon 2025 Reaches 6000 Runners – Indonesia’s Latest Viral

VIRALTERKINI.ID, JAKARTA-The 3-day congratulations, which began on June 13-15, 2025, was somewhat successful with an estimated runner reaching 6000 people. With a slogan from LPS Monas Half Marathon 2025 through the theme “Time to Rise” not only presents prestigious competition, but also becomes a symbol of cross -sectoral collaboration and the pride of the citizens of Jakarta as the host of Sport Tourism on an international scale.

This year, the number of participants jumped significantly to 6,000 runners, making it one of the most inclusive running competitions and in demand in Indonesia. After the race, a press conference was held with the Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Chairman of the LPS Board of Commissioners, Kompas Daily Editor in Chief, and champions from various categories.

After success in the previous two editions, LPS Monas Half Marathon was back as a form of strategic collaboration between the Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) and Kompas Daily. This event is a reflection of the spirit of Jakarta after Pandemic to continue to grow as an active, healthy, and dynamic global city. The theme “Time to Rise” not only illustrates the spirit of individuals to rise, but also the collective determination of the city of Jakarta to shine on the world sport tourism stage.

One of the main attractions this year is the updated and enhanced competition route. As many as 90% of the lane across the main main roads in the city center, allows more orderly and safe traffic management, and creates record opportunities thanks to a straight track with a little bend. This route also connects Jakarta icons such as Monas, Banteng Field, and Jalan MH Thamrin, presenting a running experience that is not only challenging but also aesthetic.

DKI Jakarta Deputy Governor Rano Karno expressed his appreciation for the success of this year’s implementation. According to him, the enthusiasm of participants and community support proved that this event was more than just a race – he had become a collective celebration for a healthy, inclusive, and progressive Jakarta. He also highlighted the increasing number of participants from abroad as a strong indicator of Jakarta’s attraction on the international arena.

“I believe, this event has a big impact on the tourism sector and Jakarta image. LPS Monas Half Marathon is not just a running competition, but a symbol of the enthusiasm of residents to grow and rise together,” said Rano.

Chairman of the LPS Board of Commissioners, Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, added that this year LPS MHM showed a comprehensive improvement in quality-starting from the route design, the readiness of the medical team, to pre-event activities that were increasingly inclusive and embracing the community.

“We design LPS Monas Half Marathon as an event that is not only prestigious, but also friendly, open, and has a real social impact. We want to create a living and competitive public space for all,” he said.

In line with that, Kompas Daily Editor in Chief Haryo Damardono underlines the importance of cross -sector collaboration in order to create memorable competition experiences. He appreciated the close cooperation between the organizers, the Department of Transportation, the Health Office, the Security Apparatus, the Running Community, and the community who helped maintain the route atmosphere remained conducive.

“The atmosphere of the competition is very pronounced, but still fun. Both national and international runners appear extraordinary. This shows that LPS Monas Half Marathon has a healthy and competitive ecosystem,” said Haryo.

One of the highlights came from national athletes Odekta Naibaho, who considered LPS MHM 2025 as one of the best competitions he had ever participated in. He praised the arrangement of the route, the support of the audience, and the neat implementation of the start to the finish line.

“The route is comfortable for push pace. I feel safe, excited, and really enjoy this competition,” he said.

With a safe, professional, and arbitrarily organizing collective spirit, LPS Monas Half Marathon 2025 not only scored sports achievements, but also strengthened the solidarity of citizens, opening up collaboration spaces, and encouraging a healthy living culture in Jakarta.
