What’s up Lampung Attorney General’s BRI Pringsewu Office? – Indonesia’s latest viral

VIRALTERKINI.ID, Lampung – The Central Lampung Prosecutor’s Office (Kejati) is investigating allegations of corruption in managing customer funds at PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk Pringsewu Branch Office, which occurred in the span of 2021 to 2025.

The investigation was carried out based on the Investigation Order of the Head of the Lampung Attorney Number: Prin-08/L.8/FD.2/06/0625 dated 2 June 2025.

The investigation team from the field of special criminal offenses has examined as many as 25 witnesses consisting of BRI internal parties and customers. The examination was carried out to reveal the criminal offenses that occur as well as identify the parties responsible.

Three locations were searched, dozens of evidence were secured

On Tuesday, July 1, 2025, the investigation team conducted a search in three locations in the Pringsewu Regency, namely: at the Pringsewu Branch BRI Office, a house on Jalan Pemuda, North Pringsewu and a house on Jalan Pringadi, North Pringsewu.

From the results of the search, investigators succeeded in securing a number of evidence allegedly related to the criminal act of corruption being investigated.

Among them:
– Important files and documents related to suspicious transactions,
– Two cars (Toyota Innova Reborn and Honda Brio),
– Four land and building certificates worth a total of around Rp2 billion, consisting of: Two Certificate of Ownership Rights (SHM) on Land in Pringsewu, One Certificate of Building Use Rights (SHGB) in the form of shophouses in Pringsewu, and one SHM for land in Pesawaran Regency.
-Some units of mobile phones, bags, and other items that are directly related to the case,
– Cash worth Rp559,606,209.39.

State losses are estimated to reach Rp17 billion

According to the Special Criminal Assistant of the Lampung Attorney General, Armen Wijaya, SH, MH, CSSL, the total state loss in this case was estimated at around Rp17 billion. The amount is still in the process of official calculation by the authorities.

“Handling this case is still in the investigation stage. We will convey the next development in the next release,” Armen said in his statement.

Kejati Lampung emphasized his commitment in revealing the thoroughly case and cracking down on the parties involved in the misuse of customer funds. (RS)
